Hi,
I'm putting together a weekend trip down to Devon on the above weekend. I am about to book a bunkhouse in the lovely town of Tavistock and the plan is paddle the local rivers of the Tavy/Walkam on the saturday and do the Dart (Loop) on the Sunday. This is all weather dependent though and the rivers we do may alter, although there are plenty of rivers around. The trip is for members who have had experience of paddling grade 2-3 and is not suitable for beginners
Cost of bunkhouse is £20 per person and you will need to provide your own food (plenty of shops, cafes, pubs etc nearby) + petrol and beer money
Early booking is advised and numbers are limited to a max of 12-16. If you need any further info, i'm down the pool most tuesdays and wednesdays

I have just finished editing my video of the Scotland trip with the uni club. Im not sure if this link will work if you haven't got facebook. I tried to put it on youtube but it woudnt work due to the music. It was mainly an intermediate trip so theres nothing too hard on there. Hopefully next year a big Cardiff group will head up :D

I have a new boat so Im selling the Salto. It was split on the big one on the Mellte but has been wealded back together using a wealding strip sent by Eskimo. Still completely watertight and was even with the split due to the double skin of the saltos (the split is only in the outer). Its the old style single colour (red). Very roomie and doesnt have a central pillar like most creek boats so its a nice one for comfort.
Its been well loved but still has enough life for plenty of whitewater. I can bring it to the pool if anyone wants a go. Ill also get some photos if theres interest? (Its the one in my profile pic <==== )

Team Wales gained gr8 results. Nathan, my son, came 3rd in his HP class. Naomi James won the ladies HP class, so is world champion and Rhiannon Woodman came 2nd. Rhiannon also came 4th. in ladies IC. Jordan Thomas came 3rd in Juniors HP. They came 5/12 in the team event, only because they did not have a complete team, so if interested, get to the development days!
