Please find attached the results from this weekend. I would also be grateful if you could pass them onto your members please (though I have also included any email addresses I know for people who were there).
You will be pleased to hear that, due to your enthusiasm, we have applied to run a BCU Division 3/4 double event next year on the same site. Div 4 is the entry level for newcomers to slalom (though experienced paddlers can ask the BCU to initially rank them higher). At any Div 4 event, one fifth of the paddlers are promoted to Div 3. Thus by holding a double event (entirely separate competitions on both days), a paddler could enter Div 4 on Saturday, be promoted, and then enter the Div 3 on the Sunday. We have asked for a late June or early July weekend but do not yet have an exact date.
I will maintain an email list of anybody who is interested so let me know email addresses of anyone who would like to be kept informed.
Please also let me know of any volunteers who would be willing to help on the day - safety, judging, timing, ...
